Though it seems that Marvel’s introduction to the mystic arts, Doctor Strange, wrapped shooting in Nepal over the weekend, we still got one last rush of videos and pictures from the set of our titular Sorcerer Supreme, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, and the enigmatic Baron Mordo, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor.

“Enigmatic” because, in the comics Baron Mordo is one of Doctor Strange’s primary nemeses. However, in these photos it appears that he’s come to welcome Dr. Strange and either lead him to The Ancient One or, at the very least, offer assistance or guidance.

In Straczynski’s comic book, Strange: Beginnings and Endings, Wong filled that role, finding Dr. Strange the physician wandering Tibet and telling him that his destiny was greater than he was realizing.

Is Baron Mordo taking the place of Wong here?

Doctor Strange hits theatres November 4th, 2016, and will also feature Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One and Rachel McAdams as the undisclosed female lead, with Mads Mikkelson rumored to also have signed on in a villainous role.
