Dune features one of the most exciting casts in a long time. Legendary released a second set of character posters today. This set includes Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Liet Kynes, Charlotte Rampling as Reverend Mother Mohiam, Dave Bautista as Beast Rabban, David Dastmalchian as Piter De Vries, Stephen McKinley Henderson as Thufir Hawat, and Chang Chen as Dr. Yueh. AND! There’s a new trailer coming.
The first set of Dune character posters were released a couple of days ago. The film’s promotion also includes an exclusive trailer shown in IMAX theaters in select cities in the United State. And the studio released the first 10 minutes of the film to select members of the press. All of this to re-invigorate the excitement that the film initially caused.

As mentioned previously, the first book will be split into two movies. The film stars Timothée Chalamet, , Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Jason Mamoa and Stellan Skarsgård in addition to the cast featured in today’s posters. Based on Dune by Frank Herbert, the story follows young Paul Atreides (Chalamet) as he navigates through life-changing events in “a battle to control the desert planet Arrakis.” Denis Villeneuve is directing and promises the film will be different from anything adaption we’ve seen before.
Like many blockbuster films of 2020, the film’s release was pushed back several times. Fans were treated to one trailer since promotion began again for the film. The next trailer will drop on Thursday, July 22. Until then, a small teaser for the trailer was posted on the film’s Twitter page.

Dune premieres on October 22, 2021 in theaters and on HBO Max.
