The website and youtube show, That Hashtag Show, is claiming they’ve got their hands on a casting notice for the upcoming Marvel series from ABCThe Inhumans. The notice is for a series simply referred to as “Untitled Drama Project” and features what they believe are code names for the actual characters they will end up being. As you’ll see from the notices, they’ve basically got the entire Inhuman royal family composing the central cast.

If you’re even slightly familiar with the comics, none of these names should come as too much of a surprise. More than anything, the surprise here is that they are doing an Inhumans series at all; so hearing the names of the Inhuman royal family as the central characters to the series makes total sense.

In case you’re unaware of it, ABC plans to release the first two hours of the Inhumans pilot to Imax theatres over the Labor Day weekend in early September. Then, a couple weeks later, we’ll see Inhumans on ABC.

Here are the names as they’ve listed them in the casting notice.
BLACK BOLT

[BRODERICK]Male. 30-40. Caucasian. Can say volumes with just a look. Strong, thoughtful and private, he’s unaccustomed to being questioned or feeling a need to answer to anyone, to an extent that can verge on arrogance. SERIES REGULAR, AEP.

Broderick is obviously Black Bolt, the King of the Inhumans and one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel universe. In first meeting him, you might believe he is mute, but that is not the case. Even a simple whisper from him could decimate a city block, so he has to speak very carefully. He has a telepathic link with his wife, Medusa, and it is she that typically does his speaking for him.

MEDUSA

[MARJORIE]Female. 30-40. Caucasian. An elegant and intelligent advisor to her husband, she struggles to find her place outside of their relationship, as others tend to view her as just a pretty face. Strong and resourceful, she’s not afraid to break the rules when the situation demands it. SERIES REGULAR, AEP.

Marjorie fits perfectly with Medusa, the Queen of the Inhumans and wife to Black Bolt. She is very much a tough and loving mother type, unafraid to get her hands dirty, whatever the cost, to keep her family and her people safe. Her power is that she has steel hard, very long, prehensile hair, able to lash out in any direction. Basically, she has a thousand arms on her head that can go in any direction.

MAXIMUS THE MAD

[MARTY]Male. 30-40. Caucasian. Broderick’s younger brother; he is intelligent, charming and articulate. He comes across as a man of the people but secretly covets power. SERIES REGULAR, AEP.

Marty sounds like Maximus the Mad in every way, right down to him being the younger brother to Black Bolt (Broderick). The power that he received after undergoing terrigenesis was that he became hyper intelligent and a maker of great machines. However, the price of this intelligence was that he was driven mad with a desire for power. What comes off as insane ramblings from him are actually the products of thousands of thoughts hitting him all at the same time. He’s typically a bad guy, but not always. Think of him sort of like Loki.
KARNAK

[KEVIN]Male. 30-40. Open. Slight of build, his mind is his greatest asset. Always prepared with a plan, his outlook on life is the glass is always half-empty and often cracked and dirty as well. Though his outlook can be grim he has a droll, dry sense of humor. SERIES REGULAR, AEP.

Kevin is most likely Karnak, who’s power is that he can see the flaw in everything. It’s recently come out in the comics that Karnak never actually went under Terrigenesis; his power is actually a self-taught gift from a mystical order he belongs to. It’s unclear where his power would come from for the series, but it’s likely that they’ll stick with Terrigenesis.

GORGON

[GRADY]Male. 25-35. Open. Impetuous and brash, he has serious impulse control issues which frequently get him into trouble whether its women, booze or fighting. He loves life and lives in the moment for better or worse. SERIES REGULAR, AEP.

Grady is certain to be Gorgon, the Inhuman Family war advisor. He’s also one of the Inhumans’ greatest warriors, unafraid of any fight and never willing to back down. In the comics, he has goat-like legs that he can use to create small earthquakes, but it’s likely that he’ll have human legs for the series, especially since they don’t specify any special effects make up here. It’s likely, however, that he’ll still somehow be able to create small earthquakes.

CRYSTAL

[CHRISTINE]Female. 18-25 to play 18. Caucasian. Soulful but still learning the ways of the world, she has the arrogance of youth. Impetuous and independent she is also deeply devoted to her family. SERIES REGULAR, AEP.

Crystal is the younger sister to Medusa and is very much in love with her family. Her power is pretty potent, as she’s an elemental — able to control the four elements of fire, water, earth and air.
TRITON

[TIMOTHY]Male. 25-35. Open. SFXMU required. Supremely athletic. The ultimate picture of cool. He’s calm under pressure and willing to do anything to get the job done.

Timothy seems exactly like Triton, who is basically just Aquaman but without the “vooooovoooooovoooooo.” ability to talk to fish. He’s super strong, but only
under water, which could be the biggest difference between Aquaman and Triron.
