It’s official! Michael K Williams of The Wire fame has been cast in the Han Solo film. Lucasfilm has announced the casting today and the galaxy far, far away will be happy to have him. While there is no announcement of who his character will be, he joins a massive cast.

The Han Solo film is still under wraps as to what the film is really about. While we do know it’s about Han Solo as a younger man and his adventures before his run-in with Luke Skywalker, not much else is known. As said, we’re not sure what Williams’ character is and how he plays into the story but we’re hoping he has a large part in the film.

Welcome to galaxy, Michael! Are you excited to see Michael K Williams in the film? Let us know! The untitled Han Solo film is set to release on May 25th, 2018.
