2020 is going to be a good year and here’s why: the main cast for Netflix’s The Prom has been announced! This April brought the news the Broadway hit musical comedy would be getting a movie adaption. Glee creator Ryan Murphy made the announcement while hosting a charity performance of the show at New York City’s Longacre Theatre.
The show’s plot follows Emma who wants to bring her girlfriend to her high school’s prom. When this causes a stir in her small town, four lowly Broadway actors who, in order to improve their images, decide to travel to the fictional conservative town of Edgewater, Indiana. They go hoping to use what influence they have left to help Emma out and, soak up all the good press, of course.
