May's Most Anticipated Video Games

May is a month that is jam-packed with exciting releases. From thrilling horror titles to remastered favorites, just about everyone can find a new game to play this month! Here are some of the titles that all of us at GGA can’t wait to get our hands on!

John Wick Hex

Do YOU have what it takes to be the infamous assassin, John Wick? In John Wick Hex, you can put this question to the test. Throughout the game, you’ll travel on a hex-based grid while combating enemies. It’s up to you to control John’s movements, actions, and limited resources. This tactical action thriller feels like a combination of traditional tactics games like XCOM, and the well-received shooter Super Hot. It is time to take down the international criminal mastermind known as Hex. The contract has been drawn, and the High Table is depending on you.

John Wick Hex is now available on the PlayStation 4 and the PC through the Epic Games Store.

Dungeon of the Endless

The roguelike-tower defense game, Dungeon of the Endless from Amplitude Studios, initially released in October of 2014 for PC, and now it is coming to the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4. Likewise, “Endless” really means endless as players will explore an ever-expanding dungeon and waves upon waves of monsters. This game will always have you asking, ‘What could possibly behind the next door?’.

Dungeon of the Endless will be released on May 15, 2020 for the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch.

Star Wars Episode I: Racer

The 1990s classic Star Wars Episode I: Racer is coming to modern consoles! Based on the podracing sequence from Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace, the beloved racing game puts *you* behind the controls of your favorite podracers. Speed through methane lakes on Malastare, dodge Tusken Raider assaults on Tatooine, or zoom through anti-gravity tunnels on Oovo IV! This faithful adaptation gives you the same adrenaline-pumping do-or-die thrill as you race to the finish line. In between races, you can work with your pit droid crew to upgrade your podracer to higher speeds and acceleration.

In addition, players can choose between 25 playable racers, many of whom appear in The Phantom Menace: Anakin Skywalker, Sebulba, Ratts Tyrell, and more. And one new feature for Racer is multiplayer, so now you can race against your friends! Start your engines, race well, and you too can hear those five magical words: “It’s a New Lap Record!”

Star Wars Episode I: Racer is now available on the Nintendo Switch, and on May 26, 2020 for the PS4.
