“I’ve had dreams that weren’t just dreams.”
The Matrix Resurrections official trailer hath arrived, and we’re beyond stoked to return to the world of Neo and Trinity! The story resumes with Neo/Thomas Anderson (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) in the throes of amnesia as they meet for the “first time.”
The trailer opens with Neo confiding in a therapist (Neil Patrick Harris) regarding his pervasive dreams. Well, the dreams that aren’t dreams. We can see he’s taking the blue pills, but, at one point, he spills the contents of his pill bottle in the sink. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II‘s character offers him what appears to be a red pill while saying, “Time to fly.”
However, we see his hand in a reflection is holding a blue pill. The shot is framed as two pills, one red, one blue, side by side.
The Matrix Resurrections trailer kicks into high gear with intricate action sequences, breathtaking visuals and the immersive sci-fi world we know and love.
