Whoah. Hold on to you hat strings! The Matrix 4 is going full steam ahead on casting. Deadline just reported Jessica Henwick is in talks to join the film. Today we already reported that Jada Pinkett Smith is in talks to reprise her role as Niobe. Yesterday we posted about the very interesting casting choice of Neil Patrick Harris — we say interesting because it inherently is and we are totally down with it. And, last week Yahya Abdul-Mateen II was cast in the film.

Like Harris and Adbul-Mateen, nothing is know about the role that Henwick will play although there are rumors that director Lana Wachowski wants a female-like Neo character to lead the movie. If that’s true, that is something else we are totally down with! Along with playing Colleen Wing in Iron Fist, Henwick has starred in numerous projects that showcased her athletic ability including Nymeria Sand in Game of Thrones. She was a Sand Snake!
If talks are successful, Henwick joins Harris, Abdul-Mateen, Smith and Matrix trilogy stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie Ann Moss Matrix 4.

Not much is know about the film yet. We know that Lana Wachowski will be directing however her sister, Lily Wachowski, won’t be returning to co-direct on Matrix 4. Lana Wachowski is co-writing the script with Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell. Filming is set to start next year.
