Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens, has been cast as the lead in Marvel’s Pilot for FX, Legion. He’ll be playing the son of Professor Xavier, and diagnosed Schizophrenic David Haller.
Also joining the cast, Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart and previously reported, Rachel Keller.
Aubrey Plaza will be playing the role of Lenny, Haller’s lifelong friend. This is her breakdown:
who despite a life of drugs and alcohol abuse, knows that any day now her life is gonna turn around, which gives her the likeable energy of the impossible optimist despite her rough demeanor.
The lovely Jean Smart, who also appeared in the critically acclaimed television series, Fargo, will co-star as Melanie:
a nurturing, demanding therapist with a sharp mind and unconventional methods.
Fargo creator, Noah Hawley will write and direct the pilot episode and will be on as executive producer, along with Bryan Singer, Jeph Loeb, Lauren Schuler Donner, John Cameron and Jim Chory.
Expect Legion to hit FX sometime in 2017 and to be totally badass!
