I, Tom Laurie, and my sister, Leona Laurie, are (re)watching every Marvel movie so we can cheerfully and critically discuss them. In what is indisputably our best episode yet, we’re talking about X-Men

In episode 2 of Marvel Us, my sister and I rehash X-Men, the Bryan Singer mutant escapade. I enrich this exercise by sharing facts and trivia about the film. There is humor. You will enjoy this.

Here are some facts about X-Men that we expand on in this episode:

  • The screenplay was written by Metal Gear Solid‘s own Solid Snake, David Hayter
  • Hugh Jackman wasn’t always the obvious choice to play Wolverine, and you’ll never believe who else was considered! (Unless you already know, in which case you are very likely to guess!)
  • Joss Whedon wrote two lines of dialogue, and one of them is very good!
  • Stan Lee makes his first appearance as Uatu the Watcher!
  • Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart learned to play chess for this film!
