Normally I would make a joke about I’m not crying, you’re crying, but honestly – I’m in tears. Marvel released a brand new video this morning that celebrates the studio’s past and gives us a glimpse at the future. The beginning is full of our favorite moments, from standalone movie moments to the Avengers ensemble films followed by shots of their upcoming projects. We even get title cards for upcoming films past this year. And if all of this didn’t bring you to tears, it is beautifully narrated by the man himself, Stan Lee.

One of the things I have always felt Marvel has excelled in is their ability to make us care of these characters. We celebrate their accomplishments and mourn the passing of our favorite members for years after the film’s release. Through this, they bring fans together. You can see that all through this video. They share the moments we will remember for decades to come, including moments between Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Spider-man (Tom Holland) or Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany).

My favorite moments include the audience reaction to Sam’s (Anthony Mackie) “On your left” during the Avengers: Endgame opening night back in 2019 and Chadwick Boseman‘s reminder that Wakanda is forever. These scenes continue to give me chills no matter how many times I watch them. But like I said at the beginning of this post, the past is only a small part of this celebration video.

In the second half, we see clips for the upcoming films Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and a first look at The Eternals. It never fails that seeing Scarlett Johansson on screen is an emotional experience. This has been one of my most anticipated films within the Marvel franchise and we only have a few short months before its release. The clips for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings only increase my need for this film to release now. Simu Liu looks fantastic and the new clips bring the martial arts action we are waiting for in a Marvel film.

But the real surprise was the clips for The Eternals. While they aren’t as long as the other two, it does give us a glimpse at the film’s biggest stars Salma Hayek, Kumail Nanjani and Angelina Jolie. Hopefully, we will have a separate trailer in the next few months to better understand what we can expect. Not sure how they fit into the Marvel universe? We’ve got you covered! You can learn more about The Eternals here!

Marvel closed out their video by sharing the official title cards for their upcoming films along with their release dates. This includes Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor Love and Thunder, Black Panther Wakanda Forever, The Marvels, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. We also get a quick shot of the Fantastic Four logo, but it does not contain a release date. It is likely that since it comes at the end, it will release in late 2023, or we will get it somewhere in between.

In just 3 minutes and 10 seconds, Marvel has made us cry, cheer and beg for more. They shared so much yet didn’t at the same time. My questions are really for the films releasing in the latter half of 2022, including Black Panther Wakanda Forever and The Marvels! After Boseman’s death, I am happy Marvel choose not to recast him, instead of focusing on expanding on the other characters introduced in the first Black Panther film and giving us a more in-depth look at Wakanda’s society as a whole.

But I’m all eyes on The Marvels; the official titled of the second Captain Marvel film staring Brie Larson. From the sounds of it, the film will also include Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) from WandaVision and Iman Vellani, who has been cast as Kamala Khan in Disney Plus’s upcoming Ms. Marvel series. Of course, we have a year and a half until this film releases, but I can’t wait! Hopefully, we will get an announcement on when Ms. Marvel will air now that she is slated to appear in an upcoming film!

I just want to say thank you to Marvel. For continuing to provide us with amazing stories and characters to enjoy. There were quite a lot of movie release dates announced, so to make it a bit easier, I have shared them all in a list below, along with the video. Because if I have to spend my Monday morning crying – so do you! What did you think? Which upcoming film are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
