  • Marvel unveiled a new teaser for Echo that focuses on Kingpin, which you can watch below.
  • Additionally, the entertainment juggernaut released a new poster for the series that spotlights the popular Marvel villain.
  • All five episodes of Echo will be available to stream on Hulu and Disney+ starting on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

Several posts made by Marvel Studios to social media on Thursday, January 4, 2024, highlighted the return of Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) on Marvel Studios’ Echo. The posts underscore that only five days remain until the five episodes of Echo are simultaneously released on Hulu and Disney+. In addition, a new teaser and a poster for the series that spotlights Kingpin were also posted (see below).

Kingpin on Echo

Echo stars Alaqua Cox in the titular role, aka Maya Lopez. While it follows the events of Disney+’s Hawkeye season 1, Echo tells a self-contained story. Pursued by Kingpin’s criminal empire, the eponymous hero is forced to confront her past.

Meanwhile, Echo’s adoptive father, Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin of Crime, was first introduced in Daredevil season 1. Most recently, he appeared opposite Echo in Hawkeye. But Fisk isn’t the only character who originated from the watershed Netflix series appearing in Echo.

Also returning is Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), aka Daredevil. Longstanding True Believers will recall that Daredevil marked a departure for the Marvel brand thanks to an increased level of violence, sex and profanity. These mature themes continued across the rest of the Netflix Defenders shows, including Jessica Jones and Marvel’s The Punisher.

And it seems as though Echo is following in those bloody footsteps. As highlighted by the Marvel Studios social media post, viewers must set their Disney+ profiles to “TV-MA” to stream Echo

Echo‘s cast also includes another Marvel alum, Devery Jacobs. Jacobs recently debuted in What If…? season 2 as Kahhori, an all-new, all-different Marvel superhero. Also returning is Zahn McClarnon, reprising his role as Maya’s father. Other cast members include Graham GreeneChaske SpencerTantoo Cardinal and Cody Lightning.
