Artemis isn’t even out yet and we’ll have a film adaptation! According to Variety, a film adaptation is in the works over at 20th Century Fox. Not only that, but we have directors on board. From one galaxy to another, Phil Lord and Chris Miller will helm the film. The movie sequel to the smash hit The Martian doesn’t have a release date yet!
Those awaiting the book sequel won’t have to wait long as it will be released in November 14th. With that in mind, what is it about? According to Nerdist, it will now take place on the moon! The story follows Jasmine Bashara, known as Jazz, is a prodigal twenty-something who wants to leave her boring, small-town life behind for something “bigger and better”. Her small town? It’s named Artemis and just so happens to be the first and only city on the moon. But if you’re not wealthy, life is pretty awful. Jazz, who works as a porter, finds herself caught up in a life of crime when her smuggler leads her to “the perfect score”. But, this “perfect score” winds up unveiling a power scheme for control of Artemis.
