CW’s hit series, The Flash, returns next week after a month long hiatus and the CW has lost no time in releasing a trailer for the next three episodes. Apparently, the studio is just as excited to show these episodes as we are to see them.
First up, in next week’s episode, we get the return of the Weather Wizard. Well, his brother at least, whom Cisco then nicknames (FINALLY) “The Weather Wizard.” Can we all agree that Cisco’s nicknaming all of the metahumans has become one of the best conventions in the show?
The following week we get the return of the Rogues, Captain Cold and Heatwave, along with Snart’s little sister, Lisa, a.k.a. The Golden Glider. We don’t get an example of what her power will be in this trailer, but it seems safe to assume she’ll be able to astrally project or something akin to that.
Then, the week after that, we get the fantastic return of Mark Hamill to television as he reprises his role from the Flash series 20 years ago, James Jesse a.k.a. The Trickster. He’s been in prison and a new Trickster, Axel Walker, has taken up the mantle. Hamill’s voice is absolutely chilling in this trailer, reminiscent of his work as the Joker, and no doubt makes every nerd in the world tingle with excitement.
All of this, and it appears that the team finally starts to figure out that Harrison Wells is Reverse-Flash and that some time travel will very necessary very shortly. Honestly, if they end the season on the cliffhanger of Flashpoint, there will be a worldwide geek meltdown — in a good way.
