Ryan Murphy’s cult hit series, American Horror Story is returning for the tenth season this fall and will have at least one new face. Macaulay Culkin joins the stellar cast of AHS alums including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Kathy Bates. The announcement was made in a video posted on Murphy’s Instagram.
The video is simple as the names of the cast appear on a black and white scene of the ocean. The song “Dead of Night” by Orville Peck plays. Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross and Finn Wittrock are all returning for the tenth season.
Back in January, FX renewed AHS for three more seasons, taking it through season 13. I can only imagine what that season will be like. The anthology series has covered many supernatural topics, myths and folklore in it’s 9 seasons, including the ever popular 80’s slasher horror classics.
Murphy and co-creator Brad Falchuk have not yet announced the theme or setting for Season 10. Murphy teased an idea or two in an interview with Deadline last year, mentioning bringing back fan favorite actors and toying with the idea of aliens and space. “I think that at the heart of it, it’s always about Americana,” he said. Even when we know the theme and setting, nothing really prepares viewers for what they are about to watch. And that’s what makes this show so fun.
You can watch Murphy’s video below. Murphy did not mention a release date, but we know for sure American Horror Story will return in Fall 2020.
