Lynda Carter to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Updated on:

Lynda Carter, television’s Wonder Woman, will be getting her own well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Says Carter of the honor: “Thrilled to be a class 2018 Hollywood Walk of Fame honoree and to get my very own star! So excited.”

Although Carter has been associated with her iconic turn (pun intended) as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman for more than 40 years, she’s been in the spotlight for it more recently due to the character celebrating her 75th birthday, being selected as a U.N. Ambassador and finally getting to the big screen in Patty Jenkins‘ box office juggernaut.

Carter appeared on the CBS Sunday Morning news program in conjunction with Wonder Woman’s 75th birthday, which you can watch below. In it, she says she doesn’t really think she’s Wonder Woman, which I reject outright because she definitely is.

The date for Carter’s star ceremony hasn’t been set yet, but you can see her in person in Palm Springs this August and New York this October when she performs live jazz music with her band at the Palm Springs Convention Center and Lincoln Center, respectively.

ABC Reports the rest of the 2018 Walk of Fame class includes:
