All’s well that ends well on Lucifer….maybe if the Devil didn’t wear his “Orgy Pants to Work.” Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Eve (Inbar Lavi) made their relationship official. Shortly after, Eve found out that Lucifer is vulnerable around Chloe (Lauren German). And the look on her face says she knows why.

A month or so has passed and Lucifer and Eve are still hot and heavy. Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt) has been away searching for something or someone. When she returns, she not only feels left out of Lucifer’s extracurricular activities but Linda’s (Rachael Harris) life as well. Linda’s pregnancy is very far along. She and Amenadiel (D. B. Woodside) have been bonding, so Maze has become a third wheel.
Lucifer is still working with the LAPD, but the talk of his home life is annoying both Chloe and Dan (Kevin Alejandro). Lucifer goes a little overboard when he starts sexting with Eve while on duty. Not to mention, he wore his orgy pants to work. Chloe has to tell him to leave his personal life out of work life or go home.
Party’s Over
That brings us back to Eve. She’s bored and very lonely without Lucifer around, so Maze offers to party with her. Eve is okay when they’re not at Lucifer’s apartment, but when they return, Eve says she feels abandoned. The same thing happened with Adam, but that was more about Eve comparing herself to his first wife, Lilith. Lilith also happens to be Maze’s mom and she wasn’t a very good mother.
Meanwhile, Amenadiel runs into his little sister Remiel (Vinessa Vidotto). She came to Earth to find the celestial child that is being detected. Amenadiel doesn’t tell her that it’s his child or that he knows the woman carrying the child. Remiel assumes that Lucifer is the father.
Dr. Linda is worried about Lucifer because he is working overtime to please both Eve and Chloe. She says he is a good person with Chloe and the old devil he used to be with Eve. And pulling himself in opposite directions will cause him to fall apart if he’s not careful. Of course, Lucifer says everything is okay, but he’s also buying apology gifts for both Eve and Chloe.
The Case
The case is a murder. Gary Van Blunt fell from his office building onto a very pointy sculpture in front of the building. A witness who works in the building has sketches of Gary and another man that was always around him. Facial recognition identified the would-be stalker as Vince Walker (Sean Carrigan).
Vince Walker actually runs a company that teaches business how to handle crisis situations. Walker didn’t like Gary because he questioned some of his business expenses. Walker did follow him to scare him, but he didn’t kill him. On the day Gary died, Walker followed him to Malibu Canyon and lost him.
Chloe receives a sex doll as an apology, obviously meant for Eve. While she confronts Lucifer about it, Ella (Aimee Garcia) reports that the clothes that Gary was wearing were not his. Lucifer found out why. There is a nudist colony in Malibu Canyon. And it looks like Gary was a member.
The Rich Kid
The team goes to the colony. Lucifer and Ella are very eager to get in and question the residents. Everyone at the colony liked Gary, except the owner, Julian McCaffrey (Erik Stocklin). Apparently, the two had an argument recently. Julian says it was about how creepy Gary is, but he doesn’t have an alibi for the murder.
Chloe finds out that the clothes that Gary was wearing were Julian’s, so she arrests him for murder. But…Julian is the son of a major shipping tycoon, Jacob Tierning, so he’s not in police custody long. In fact, Tierning’s team of lawyers bails Julian out before he can answer any of Chloe’s questions.
While Amenadiel is leading Remiel on a wild goose chase, Maze has to coach Linda at Lamaze class. She enjoys the birthing video but gets emotional when they start talking about mother-baby bonds.
Lucifer goes home to Eve, who is sad, but not angry with him. In fact, she is enlightened by his behavior. She thinks he is trying to be someone he’s not. But he doesn’t have to because she says he’s perfect. Lucifer likes that she thinks that, but gets uncomfortable. He finds a piece of paper in his pocket and leaves to show Chloe.
Not One of the Good Guys
The piece of paper was slipped into Lucifer’s pocket when he was at the nudist colony. It only has one word: Marigold. Chloe finds out that Marigold is the name of a ship that belongs to Jacob Tierning. They gather the team with back up and head to the docks.
When they get there, they find out that Julian is running a human trafficking ring. Chloe and Lucifer approach him and a gunfight starts. The LAPD is able to subdue Julian’s men and save the hostages. Julian runs away though.
Lucifer goes after him and disarms him. He wants to kill Julian but contains his anger long enough for Julian to get away. Joan (Paloma Alvarez), Lucifer’s favorite uniformed officer goes after Julian and is shot and killed in front of Lucifer. Everyone is sad about Joan, especially Dan. He blames Lucifer for her death, saying Lucifer is not one of the good guys.
Lucifer puts in a call to Maze to find Julian. After he gets off the phone, Eve arrives. She encourages Lucifer to go after Julian and punish him. Lucifer is reluctant to at first, but Eve reminds him that he’s the devil. That’s all the motivation he needs.
Baby Gifts
Remiel starts to catch on that Amenadiel is stalling. She finds humans inconsequential and says Amenadiel taught her that. He says he was wrong. Remiel knows they aren’t supposed to kill humans and says she will be careful where she cuts to take the baby. Amenadiel gets very protective, indicating that he knows who the mother really is. He finally admits that he is the father of the celestial baby and will do anything to protect him and his mother.
Speaking of, Linda is opening baby gifts and finally gets to Maze’s gift. She’s a little scared to open it because it’s in a toolbox. Maze shows up and tells her that it’s a baby blanket. She wanted to give the baby something she wanted when she was small. Maze starts to say something about feeling left out and Linda reassures her that she will always be a member of her family.
Julian goes to his mother’s house at the nudist colony and Lucifer is there waiting for him. Julian tries to justify his actions and shoot Lucifer, but the bullets go right through him. Lucifer turns on his devil face and says he’s been thinking about how to punish him. He kicks Julian out of the window. Eve is waiting outside as Lucifer walks up to Julian and stands on his back. Lucifer says he’s the devil and this feels right. He steps on Julian harder and breaks his back.
