From chillin’ with the devil to fighting Zombies, Lesley-Ann Brandt officially joins The Walking Dead Rick and Michonne series. According to Deadline, Brandt was cast in a “key role.”
Brandt’s character name is Pearl, but that’s all the details that we know. The series began filming last month in New Jersey. The long awaited series reunites TWD faves Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes and Danai Gurira as Michonne. And is supposed ot give their characters a proper ending. Lincoln left in season nine. Gurira followed his exit in season 10.

Brandt’s most recently appeared as the dagger wielding demon Mazikeen in the Fox/Netflix series Lucifer. Maze displayed a lot of spunk and a little bit of heart. She was also the muscle of the series, always up for a fight, friend or foe. So Brandt should have no problem fighting off walkers. She will fit right in.

Here is the synopsis: The series presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?
The Richonne series is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe, Lincoln, Gurira, Denise Huth and Brian Bockrath. Gimple also serves as showrunner.
The Walking Dead Rick and Michonne series will premiere in 2024.
