“A one stop, all in, Gamespace Foodspace” – owner, Robert Cron
GameHaus Cafe is an amazing labor of love by owners Robert Cron and Terry Chiu. Robert speaks of his love of games (lots of the cafe collection belong to either Rob or co-owner and resident chef Terry) and their desire to create a warm cafe with great food and oh yes, tons and tons and tons of tabletop games.
The cafe is gorgeous and inviting. Comfy leather couches and large tables for snacking and gaming. They do a lot of great cooking on site and get their fancy stuff from Tasteful Cakes. The furniture, fixtures, and even the art in the restrooms contribute to the theme. It’s a welcoming environment and that was part of the original plan. “We didn’t want to frighten off non-gamers.” says Rob.
co-owner and master gamer Rob Cron invites you to enjoy some pie
Classics, card games, adventure games. There’s a couple of games hidden away you have to ask for special (ping me and I’ll let you know what. Okay, it’s Cards Against Humanity). Almost 900 games to choose from in one place. 900. By the way, there’s no WiFi here. This spot is all about socializing. Even if you don’t care a bit about gaming, come with your gamer friends and enjoy the vibe.

A couple of times a month on Wednesday, they hold a Boardgame 101 tutorial. And the crowd here is more than welcoming to beginners. Check out the website for details. Grab a sammich and this sign.
Parking: Plenty of street parking. The cafe is on the San Fernando road side of the Seely Building rather than facing onto Brand Blvd.
Honestly, check out their website, here. It’s as beautiful as the cafe.

P.S. I’ll be attending the marathon Moby Dick reading this weekend and can’t wait to be a part of the event. That’s right, I’ll be reading.
