Look Great While Kicking Butt in Her Universe’s BIRDS OF PREY Clothing Line

Her Universe's Birds of Prey clothing line inspired by the DC film

Did you get a chance to see Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) this weekend? If so, you were able to see just how awesome the costume department did for the film. If you were like me and looked at the screen with lingering thoughts of “I really want that,” then look no further because Her Universe has you covered! The geek fashion brand has brought several pieces from the film to life in their latest line.

Most of the clothing line comes from the clown princess of crime herself, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). Offering the pieces in both regular and plus sizes, you can essentially wear her main outfits from the film. You can pick up her golden overalls with the harlequin pattern on them – just make sure you pair them with some roller skates. They also offer her simple yet effective “Harley Quinn” shirt and high rise, destroyed shorts with black lines down the legs. However, the crown jewel of the collection belongs to the caution tape jacket, aka the jacket with the fringe made out of caution tape. The piece to die for! Or rather the piece that every Harley Quinn fan should have in their collection.

The rest of the collection is inspired by the film. It has a t-shirt dedicated to Black Canary (Jurnee SmollettBell) and a sweatshirt with a chain pattern for Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). The line also includes a long-sleeve support shirt for Harley’s roller derby team The Gotham Flamethrowers and finally a Black Mask Club jacket for both Her Universe and Our Universe. Unfortunately there’s nothing for Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) and Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco), but we’d like to think they tried to make something for them and the designs just didn’t work out.

I think the best item is the caution tape jacket. I know cosplayers are extremely resourceful but getting that jacket saves a hell of a lot of time on making it. Also, how unique is that piece? I would not be able to pull it off myself but to anyone buying that jacket – you will rock that thing!

What do you think of the collection? Are you going to snag some pieces before it’s all sold out? Let us know. Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more geek fashion fun.

Birds of Prey is currently playing in theaters. Go see it!
