On Monday, July 21, 2023, Marvel Studios released a brand-new Loki Season 2 trailer. At least, that’s what happened in our corner of the multiverse; we can’t speak for possible alternate histories. In Geek Girl Authority’s timeline, the season 2 trailer has confirmed the return not just of our favorite God(s) of Mischief but also the return of our favorite Time Variance Authority (TVA) employees!
Loki Season 2 Trailer
The Loki Season 2 trailer picks up where we left Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in the Loki Season 1 finale. In that episode, the God of Mischief variant Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) and “Loki Prime” visited the Citadel at the End of Time, where Sylvie seemingly murdered He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors). However, things were amiss when Loki Prime returned to the TVA at the episode’s conclusion. When he arrived, he found it had been remade in the image of Kang the Conqueror (Majors).

But that wasn’t the last time we saw Loki Prime. He and his friend and fellow TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) appeared in the post-credits scene for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. Kang was seemingly felled by the eponymous superheroes at the climax of Quantumania. However, the post-credits scene co-starring the Loki stars revealed a surviving Kang Variant (Majors), implied to be poised to cause more problems for the TVA in Loki Season 2. The trailer seems to indicate the Quantumania credits scene is set at a historical World’s Fair.
In addition, the trailer confirms the return of Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku), Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) and our favorite Beta Shift Variant, Casey (Eugene Cordero). Plus, we get our first look at Ke Huy Quan as another TVA bureaucrat. And finally, we get to see a variant of Miss Minutes (Tara Strong).
