Variety is reporting that Marvel and Sony are already on the march forward with casting for their new Spider-Man.
We know that they want to see Peter Parker in High School and getting nowhere close to college, a bit more in line with what Marvel TV has done in their Ultimate Spider-Man series.
It also goes on to say that, though no actors have been officially approached, Dylan O’Brien (Maze Runner, Teen Wolf) and Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson films, Fury) are on the list for consideration.

If these rumors are true, it looks as if we have even more confirmation that the Studios are looking to stay with Peter Parker and not Miles Morales, though Variety says,
The studio also needs to figure out whether it wants to go with another Peter Parker or introduce another character that suits up as Spider-Man, including Miles Morales, whose father is African American and mother is Puerto Rican.
The only way we could get both heroes would be if the studios are planning to do a cinematic version of the Spider-Verse storyline, currently going on in the comics, in which case, my head will implode.
