The Little Prince, originally slated to release in U.S. theaters on March 18 from Paramount, but was quietly removed from the release schedule late last year.  Netflix rescued the film and we now have a shiny new trailer and a release date of August 5.  The movie, which combines both 3D computer and stop-motion animation, is based on the 1943 book of the same name by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

The story tells the tale of a little girl who lives in a very grown-up world.  Her mother schedules her entire life in an attempt to prepare her daughter for the life ahead of her.  The girl’s neighbor, the Aviator, introduces the girl to the extraordinary world of the Little Prince where anything is possible.
