There’s a lot going on in this clip for ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. First off, we’ve got Skye waiting by Lincoln’s bedside, having not left him this entire time, begging the question — where do her loyalties lie now? Then there’s also Agent 33 who’s coming around, her brainwashing reversed, presumably putting her back on S.H.I.E.L.D.’s side. It feels as if there’s a little tension between Fitz and Simmons, like maybe Fitz knows what Simmons did to Bakshi.
Finally, the entire clip leads up to the moment when Lincoln wakes up, initially excited to see Skye, but quickly realizing that he’s in a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility and immediately knowing that’s a bad thing. The Inhumans want to keep their society a secret and now that entire way of life is threatened.
