Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has an official trailer. After a lot of teases and rumors, we get to see a whole lot of action in this peek at the movie. And, life is still finding a way, even when it’s getting blown up.
The trailer opens in a bar. Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Owen (Chris Pratt) are in a booth together, but clearly on the outs. They’ve broken up, but they’ve got business to take care of. ‘A rescue op to save the dinosaurs from an island that’s about to explode.’ And, that’s not hyperbole. The island looks to be erupting from a very active volcano. Why would they go back in there after everything that’s happened to them and everyone before them? Sentiment. ‘Blue is alive.’ says Howard. ‘You raised her’. And, so it begins. Again.
There is much more action, adventure and story in this trailer. There’s a trial for what seems like the ethical argument for saving the lives of these animals. There is an erupting volcano. There is the iconic T-Rex roar… always good. There’s a cliff dive into the ocean involving people and many dinosaurs. It is jam-packed. It’ll be interesting to see how the movie plays out.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will come tearing into theaters June 22, 2018.
