We all need a Puppers today. Letterkenny, Hulu’s long-running Canadian import (well on its way to becoming a cult classic), is poised to premiere its 12th season later this year. Unfortunately, it will also be the clever comedy’s last hurrah. This news comes hot on the heels of Letterkenny spin-off Shoresy‘s second season debut on October 27 and its third season renewal.
Letterkenny Season 12
Here’s the synopsis for Season 12:
“The residents of Letterkenny belong to one of three groups: the Hicks, the Skids, and the Hockey Players, who are constantly feuding over seemingly trivial matters that often end with someone getting their ass kicked. In Season 12, the small town contends with a comedy night at MoD3an’s, a country music hit, the Degens’ bad influence, a new nightclub, and an encore at the Ag Hall. And that’s just for starters.”

I’m intrigued by a comedy night at MoD3an’s and who in town scores a country music hit. Not to mention, anything that transpires at the Ag Hall is sure to be entertaining and hilarious. Of course, more degen stuff is always funny. And who can resist a good old-fashioned nightclub?
Letterkenny is easily one of my favorite comedies of all time. While this news is bittersweet, I’m glad to have access to 12 seasons and various specials that I can rewatch at my leisure. Hats off to Jared Keeso and Jacob Tierney for giving us a unique comedy with brilliant wordplay, hysterical running gags, solid comedic performances and plenty of heart. Thankfully, we can also look forward to more Shoresy. Here’s hoping Keeso and co. create additional shows in this world.

Letterkenny stars Jared Keeso, Nathan Dales, Michelle Mylett, K. Trevor Wilson, Dylan Playfair, Andrew Herr, Tyler Johnston, Evan Stern, Lisa Codrington, Jacob Tierney, Clark Backo, Kaniehtiio Horn and Mark Forward. Keeso serves as creator, executive producer and co-writer, while Tierney is also an executive producer, director and co-writer.

The six-episode 12th and final season of Letterkenny premieres on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Seasons 1 through 11 are now streaming on Hulu.
