How’re ya now? Good, ‘n you? Letterkenny Season 12 Episode 4, “Snooters,” finds the gang reminiscing on old times while Katy, among others, feels stuck in her life. This all feels apropos as we inch closer to the series finale. I’m glad Katy plans to stay in town, though. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if Squirrely D gets engaged to Lovina and converts to the Mennonite faith. Daryl is pretty damn done with the Degens, so here’s hoping Wayne saves him. At least the Skids are thriving with their new club.
“Snooters” boasts moments of genuine tension and legitimate stakes, which is rare for this show. It’s a delightful amalgam of tense moments, biting comedy and heartwarming nostalgia.
Pitter-patter … let’s dive into “Snooters.”

Swindling a Degen
We begin with a cold open featuring Daryl (Nathan Dales), Mick (Morgan Bedard) and Jivin’ Pete (Ian Ronningen). They sit in front of the “Manchin” while chatting about the vehicle Mick is trying to sell JP. He claims it’s won all these awards in a bid to get JP to buy it. Daryl even joins in on the deception. Additionally, every time Mick mentions the price, he raises it. Jivin’ Pete falls for the ruse, and the two men seal the deal with a handshake. Apparently, Degens are easy to fool. According to this show, they can’t do math or spell, so there’s that. It’s not my favorite cold open, but I love seeing Daryl depicted as the smartest of the bunch.
Club Happenings
Meanwhile, the rest of town parties it up at Stewart (Tyler Johnston) and Roald’s (Evan Stern) after-hours snooters club. Bonnie McMurray (Kamilla Kowal) partners with Tyson (Jay Bertin). Gailer (Lisa Codrington) and McMurray (Dan Petronijevic) dance together while Tanis (Kaniehtiio Horn) sways in the corner. Reilly (Dylan Playfair) and Jonesy (Andrew Herr) boogie down in another part of the club. It’s smoky as hell. The Hockey Players spot Katy (Michelle Mylett) and Lily (Ella Cannon) against one wall. Look, it’s a new sniper!
Wayne (Jared Keeso) runs into Tyson and Bonnie McMurray amid the thick smoke. We only see their feet. The fellas reminisce on all the times they scrapped in the series. They conclude that, nowadays, sometimes it’s best to let things cool down before resorting to fighting. That’s growth, y’all, coming straight from the toughest guy in Letterkenny.

Elsewhere, Reilly and Jonesy try to flirt with Katy and Lily. Lily rejects them, claiming they’re uninterested because they’re moving to Mexico. This breaks the Hockey Players’ collective heart. Katy’s still unsure about this Mexico thing. Lily can’t understand why she’d want to stay in a place like this after spending time in paradise. Meanwhile, Wayne bumps into Tanis. Tanis and her boo throw it back to their early days when Tanis burnt down the produce stand. Then, they had that massive scrap afterward.
Life Lessons (and Snooters)
Wayne and Tanis conclude that, sometimes, slow is best. Not everything requires arson and violence. Then, Wayne stumbles upon ole Gailer and McMurray. Believe it or not, Wayne and McMurray nail their trademark greeting for the first time in the show’s history. Pigs have finally flown. They think back to when Wayne fought Jivin’ Pete for Katy and beat the snot out of Dierks in America as a group. McMurray muses that getting older means one is less likely to drive to Michigan to kick some ass.
Later, Katy, Wayne and Lily return to the farmhouse. Lily asks Wayne if he’ll have a beer with her. They sit in front of the produce stand, Gus N’ Brus in hand, while dishing on their love lives. Wayne explains that his sweetie is currently in Vancouver. Lily senses there’s trouble in paradise. Lily reveals she enjoys her life with her boyfriend, but she wants to move to Mexico, and he doesn’t.

Then, Lily moves closer to Wayne. They chat some more. I legitimately wondered if they would kiss here. Realistically, I knew Wayne wouldn’t cheat on Rosie (Who would, in general?), but the tension is certainly crackling. Instead, Lily thanks him for the beer before heading inside.
Next Moves
The following day, the Hockey Players and Skids have drinks at MoD3an’s. Reilly and Jonesy reveal that Katy’s moving to Mexico. Stewart (aka STRT) and Roald are taken aback. The quartet puts their heads together to brainstorm ways to keep Katy in Letterkenny. Tanis and Shania (Ellyn Jade) join the conversation, steering the fellas in the right direction. What are Katy’s likes and dislikes? What grand gesture will dissuade her from this life change?
Meanwhile, Wayne and Katy are filling up at the gas station when Mick pulls up beside them. He tries to exchange pleasantries. Mick acknowledges that he bumped into Rosie at MoD3an’s (without apologizing), but he doesn’t understand why they hate him so much. The subject of Daryl enters the interaction. Katy not-so-subtly threatens Mick. If anything happens to Daryl, a certain “dog,” aka Wayne, knows how to hunt. Oh, this is a badass line. Katy doesn’t mess around.

Then, we see Lily drive away from the farmhouse. Her editor loved the photos of Katy and wants her to take more pics in Letterkenny. Squirrely Dan (K. Trevor Wilson) watches her depart, clad in glasses, his hat from Lovina Dyck and suspenders. Dan’s transformation into a Mennonite is near complete.
Raise the Stakes
Later, Mick tells Harley (Amalia Williamson) and Daryl that the Hicks “verbally assaulted” him at the gas station. Sure, Jan. Daryl doesn’t seem to consider Wayne, Katy, etc., his “old friends,” which is good. Next, Jivin’ Pete has Dary draw a straw. It’s a delightful game the Degens play on a Saturday night. Whoever draws the longest straw is the hunter, while the person who draws the shortest straw is the hunted. Mick grabs his gun, having drawn the longest straw. Unfortunately, one particular Degen’s luck runs out.
Meanwhile, the Hockey Players and Skids surprise Katy with a Mexico-themed party, complete with alcoholic beverages, food, music and costumes. They hope this will make her stay. Katy reveals she isn’t moving to Mexico — she was merely flirting with the idea. Why? Because she feels stuck. She isn’t the only person in Letterkenny who feels this way.

Then, Wayne runs into McMurray and Tyson at MoD3an’s. McMurray shows Wayne the video of Daryl declaring he’s a Degen that Jivin’ Pete recorded. McMurray is furious. Nobody loathes Degens more than him. Wayne tries to persuade the pair to help him save Dary. Outside, Daryl follows Harley, Mick, JP and the other Degens as they lead the short-strawed Degen to the field. After downing some drinks, the man flees across said field as Mick shoots at him.
Daryl tries to leave. He tells Harley that this isn’t his bag. She claims that, as Degens, they all stick together. Either he’s in, or he’s out. Daryl stands there silently, contemplating his options. He clearly doesn’t want to be there anymore. Mick reveals the Hicks won’t take him back. They don’t want Daryl. Oh, the manipulation and gaslighting run deep in this group.
We see Wayne observing the exchange from the woods.
