How’re ya now? Good, ‘n you? Season 11 of Letterkenny chugs along with another fun outing brimming with creative wordplay, entertaining running gags and wondrous cameos. I’ve been waiting for the McMurrays to return, and I wasn’t disappointed. Jimmy Dickens (like Charles) is always a good time, too.
Ready to delve into “Nudes”? Let’s get to it.

We begin with a cold open featuring our boys Wayne (Jared Keeso), Daryl (Nathan Dales) and Squirrely Dan (K. Trevor Wilson). They get on the subject of urethras and shy bladders, which inexplicably morphs into a tangent about the secret service and the president’s public urination habits. The running gag here is Squirrely correcting Dary for thinking of things that contradict his words. Our Dan knows a thing or two about a thing or two. I love when these three go on conversational tangents. It feels like I’m listening in on chats with my friends.
Later, Rosie (Clark Backo) shows Katy (Michelle Mylett) what’s got her positively peeved: someone leaked her cousint Gail’s nude photo. Dary wants a sneak peek, but Wayne urges his pal to refrain from engaging in something he’ll later regret. Rosie hatches a game plan for exacting revenge and meting justice to the fool who shared Gail’s nude around town. Side note: I dig the Dawson’s Creek wordplay in this scene.
Meanwhile, the skids dance it out in front of the convenience store. Stewart (Tyler Johnston) tells Roald (Evan Stern) that it’s time they step away from the spotlight regarding their business. People, i.e., cops, are sniffing around them. It’s time to take the heat off their names. Thus, STRT proposes they enlist a proxy to sell their product at inflated prices. Enter: Avi (Daniel Harroch — he co-wrote this episode with Keeso).

The boys offer Avi free product in exchange for his assistance pushing their drugs onto the masses. Avi addresses them with delightful celebrity and pop culture wordplay involving their names. The creativity of the writers never ceases to amaze me. It’s a gold mine for a word nerd like moi. Anyway, Avi agrees, although he disagrees with their classification of weed. The skids don’t consider it a drug, while he does.
Next, Wayne, Katy, Rosie, Daryl and Squirrely Dan find Bonnie McMurray (Kamilla Kowal) furiously typing on her laptop. She firmly believes that if you leak a pic, you lose your dick. While the guys resign themselves to sitting at the bar and drinking, the ladies take action in Gail’s name. Firstly, they visit McMurray (Dan Petronijevic) and Mrs. McMurray (Melanie Scrofano), who are preparing to hop in the hot tub for an afternoon soak. They’re champing at the bit over Gailer’s nude and want to see it. They direct our trio toward good ole Jimmy Dickens (or “Dickskin,” if you’re McMurray). After all, Dickens used to date Gail.
Dickens (Alex McCooeye) appears in a robe, and we learn he’s there to join the McMurrays for hot tub time. He defends his name and reassures the ladies he’d never deign to share a woman’s nudes. He almost launches into full-on auctioneer mode (which always makes me giggle), but everyone stops him. Dickens says two men spring to mind regarding the leak.

Meanwhile, Avi meets with Roald and STRT in the latter’s mom’s basement. The Skid Headquarters. They continue to bicker about how to classify weed, and Avi states he’ll help the boys if they acknowledge that marijuana is a drug. Roald asks Stewart to remember when he first tried weed and, more importantly, when he became Katy’s first drug dealer. We all know he still carries a torch for her. STRT finally, albeit begrudgingly, does as he’s bid. Avi’s now their proxy. Stern’s physicality in this scene as Roald cracks me up.
Later, the ladies confront Reilly (Dylan Playfair) and Jonesy (Andrew Herr), but the pair swear they’d never leak nudes. This is the second time we see a BROdude ad (one for the energy drink in front of the convenience store and one for SKOdude/vodka in MoD3an’s) behind the characters in a scene. The hockey players believe the skids can help the hicks access the (whispers) dark web, so they can see who leaked Gailer’s nude.

Speaking of, our skids learn that Avi made bank for them with his first sales. Instead of inflating the prices for regulars, he sold product at the original price. Kristen Stewart and Fruit Roald Up are cool with it, though. The skids head to MoD3an’s for celebratory drinks with their cash stash. When they arrive, Katy, Rosie and Bonnie McMurray confront them. Stewart knows who leaked the photo (Avi tells him in the previous scene), but “snitches get stitches.”
STRT goes in to kiss Katy, but she proceeds to choke him (after screaming, he whispers “tighter,” which sent me into a giggle fit the first time I heard it). Stewart rats out Jivin’ Pete as the culprit. Once everyone’s inside, Gail (Lisa Codrington) reveals she purposely sent the nude to Jivin’ Pete. Then, he took it from there. Because of the leak, Gailer’s now a hot commodity. Codrington’s physicality in this role is so damn funny. Rosie declares they’ll kill Jivin’ with kindness. They gesture to Jivin’ Pete (Ian Ronningen) to join them for drinks. Then, Katy goes in for the kill, I mean kick. She kicks him in the balls.
That’s my girl.
I love when Katy goes into ass-kicking (or, in this case, ball-kicking) mode. Here’s hoping Jivin’ Pete learns his lesson, but pigs will probably fly before that happens because degen. I’m curious to see if the skid business storyline goes anywhere. I doubt it, as this isn’t a super plot-heavy series, but time will tell. Avi’s a fun character; I’m glad we’re seeing more of him.
