Plenty more Leigh Bardugo books are coming our way! The bestselling author reached a blockbuster deal with her publisher Macmillan for several new books. Read on to see what we know from Macmillan’s press release

Macmillan announced earlier this week that Bardugo signed an eight-figure deal for a dozen books across the company. The book will span “a variety of formats, age categories and genres.” Four of the imprints involved include Flatiron Books, Tor Nightfire, Roaring Brook Press and First Second Books. They publish adult novels, horror, children’s/YA books and graphic novels for young readers, respectively.

Bardugo’s entire body of work has been with Macmillan. She said of the long-standing relationship:

“Macmillan took a chance on me over a decade ago and they’ve been my home ever since. When no one in YA was interested in epic fantasy, they welcomed Shadow and Bone. When everyone wanted books about kings and queens, they rolled the dice on my team of six outcasts trying to pull off an impossible heist. And when I wanted to go someplace far darker, they backed me in welcoming readers to Ninth House. Publishing is a tough business and it’s no small thing to be able to write the stories I’m most passionate about.”

Shadow and Bone, now a successful Netflix show, was Bardugo’s first novel in 2012. She followed it up with 10 additional works set in the Grishaverse and the Alex Stern series, which currently consists of Ninth House and Hell Bent. Aside from the news the first books in the deal should come out in 2024, there aren’t any firm details about the upcoming releases.
