Honesty time.
I always feel really stupid getting excited for these LEGO sets when they’re first announced. It’s not like we have room in our house to add MORE LEGO sets to our decor; we’re not rushing out to purchase them. However, a lot of times, these sets are based on set pieces from the films themselves and they end up giving us clues as to what we can expect from the film. For a couple examples of this, in Captain America: Civil War, that was where the Ant-Man going Giant Man rumor came from because leaked images of those sets hit almost six months before the film’s premiere. Likewise, new LEGO sets for Spider-Man: Homecoming most likely contain spoilers, but the manufacturer may have learned their lesson as they blacked out possible spoilers in their set. Notice how they’ve blacked some character out?
So, that being said, EW released our first look at one of the upcoming LEGO sets for Wonder Woman and it appears that both she and Steve Trevor will be fighting a super massive gigantic version of Ares, the God of War.
Our guess — this is at the end of the film after Diana (Gal Gadot) has uncovered who Ares is, where’s been hiding and is about to compromise his ambitions. That being said, it’s also likely that he’s finally reached full power and has no problem revealing himself. This is all a wild guess, though. Also a wild guess — Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) doesn’t really do a whole hell of a lot against him, mainly because Ares is a God. Also, because he’s a god of War.
