When Jes Macallan joined Legends of Tomorrow as the Time Bureau’s stiff, strict, and haughty director, Ava Sharpe, she was just an obstacle for the crew of the Wave Rider. Escapades of dodging her and her assistant, Gary (Adam Tsekhman), became a thing to expect. But then something happened. She and Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) hit it off and became an instant fan favorite couple, garnering the hashtag #AvaLance on social media. CW heard the fan’s support for Ava and, as reported by Entertainment Weekly, have promoted her to a series regular in Season 4, joining the cast alongside Matt Ryan‘s demon hunting Constantine.
#AvaLance, as a couple, is made of strong, fierce, independent women, but it was nearly ended when a recent episode revealed that Ava was a clone from the year 2213 and that she was the twelfth such clone Rip (Arthur Darvill) brought back from the locked time period. But if AvaLance can survive Sara’s fears of hurting those she loves (which was the couple’s first split) and Ava’s identity crisis, is there anything that can stand in their way? With Season 4 on its way, we can’t wait to find out what is in store for the newest couple aboard the Wave Rider and their fellow crew!
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow also stars Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer / The Atom), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory / Heat Wave), Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Amaya Jiwe / Vixen), Nick Zano (Nate Heywood / Steel), Tala Ashe (Zari Tomaz), and Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West / Kid Flash).
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 3 finale, “The Good, The Bad and The Cuddly”, airs on Monday, April 9, on the CW!
