It’s impossible to not get excited when you watch this extended sneak peek at the CW’s upcoming season for their returning DC series, Legends of Tomorrow. It gives you a solid idea of what all to expect from what they’ve got coming in the coming weeks and, honestly, it all looks fun.
They go to all sorts of different time periods, from the Old West to Medieval Europe and Feudal Japan. We see the return of Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech) and the new version of Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers).
Dr. Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) gets to fight with some samurai. And a dinosaur.
Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber) gets to punch Albert Einstein.
White Canary (Caity Lotz) gets to fight some ninjas and be seduced by the Queen of France.
Captain Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) gets to be a Muskateer
We see the return of Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) who, we already know, form the Legion of Doom at some point.
We see the Justice Society of America in all of their super heroic glory!
But, even better than all of this, we see that at some point, the Legends will cross paths with all of their other CW co-stars — Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), The Flash (Grant Gustin) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist).
And that’s all more than likely just the first half of this, their second season, which starts on October 13th, “Out of Time” which is summarized below.
GUEST STARRING STEPHEN AMELL — After the defeat of the immortal villain Vandal Savage and the exposure of the corrupt Time Masters, a new threat emerges. Dr. Nate Heywood (Nick Zano), an unconventional and charming historian, is thrust into the action. After making a shocking discovery, Nate seeks out Oliver Queen (guest star Stephen Amell) for help in finding the scattered Legends. Once reunited, the Legends continue their new mission to protect the timeline from temporal aberrations – unusual changes to history that spawn potentially catastrophic consequences. Their first stop is 1942 to protect Albert Einstein from being kidnapped before the Nazis destroy New York City with a nuclear bomb. Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) notices that Sara (Caity Lotz) has a mission of her own, which leads them both to face her nemesis, Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough).
