LEGENDS OF TOMORROW! ASSEMBLE!

It’s that time of the year, when all of our favorite shows are going on hiatus for the holidays. The CW’s hit DC Comics shows, Arrow and The Flash, are among some of the best ones out there and they both have some epic storylines that will no doubt find some semblance of conclusion and complication next week. And then, unfortunately, we’ve got to wait until March for their return.

However, the wait won’t be so bad because we’ve got another show being squeezed into that mid-season break called Legends of Tomorrow, which will see heroes from both shows teaming up to travel through time and take down the treat of Vandal Savage, an immortal man who has influenced human civilization since the dawn of time. He eventually conquers the entire world and this cannot happen. So time-traveler Rip Hunter assembles a team to take him down.

Who’s on that team? Well, feast them peepers on this image released by the CW today in anticipation of the up-coming mini-series. We’ve got the Atom (Brandon Routh), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Firestorm (Franz Drameh) Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée), and Hawkman (Falk Hentschel). Leading the charge is the new character of Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill). He’s the dude in the middle with the glowing six-shooter.

Still not convinced, here’s the trailer.

The show premieres next year on Thursday, January 21st on The CW

In DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, when heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only the planet is at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?
