Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum will reprise their Jurassic Park roles in the upcoming Jurassic World 3. The exclusive came from Collider. Director Colin Trevorrow and Dern made the announcement on Tuesday night at Collider’s screening of Jurassic World at the ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood.
Collider released the announcement video on Twitter where Dern said she would come back only if Neill and Goldblum were included. Trevorrow agreed to her terms on the spot. Dern played Dr. Ellie Sattler, Neill portrayed Dr. Alan Grant, and Goldblum shined as Ian Malcolm in 1993’s Jurassic Park.

The trio hasn’t shared the Jurassic screen since the first movie. Goldblum returned for The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Neill led the cast of Jurassic Park III, with a small cameo from Dern. And Goldblum returned again for a small role in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom last year.
Trevorrow and Emily Carmichael wrote the script, that is being kept under wraps. Trevorrow is also producing with Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and Pat Crowley.
From Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, “Jurassic World immerses audiences of all ages in a new era of wonder and thrills where dinosaurs and humankind must learn to coexist. Jurassic World is more than a film franchise. At every turn, this film series delivers a larger-than-life destination for exploration, discovery, and epic adventure. Dinosaurs live again and they live in Jurassic World.”
Jurassic World 3 premieres in theaters on June 11, 2021.
