Lara Jean Chorostecki has joined the cast of Chucky Season 2. According to an exclusive from Deadline, the actress will portray a yet unnamed character with a “heavily recurring role.” Chorostecki joins returning cast members Brad Dourif, Alex Vincent, Jennifer Tilly, Devon Sawa and others.

Very little information is available regarding the second season of the USA Network and Syfy horror series. The first season of Chucky takes place after the events of Child’s Play 7, Cult of Chucky. A teenager, Jake (Zackary Arthur), finds a vintage Good Guy Doll at a local yard sale. Being an avid collector of similar items, Jake purchases the doll and quickly takes it home. Little does he know that buying that doll will lead to death and mayhem.

Throughout the first season, Chucky (Brad Dourif – voice) goes on a classic killing spree. He also tries to get Jake and his friends to help him on his mission.

At the end of Season 1, Chucky and Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) have created an army of Chucky dolls, all hosting a piece of the original’s soul. They have also killed most of the town. However, it seems the crew of teens brought their evil plot to an exploding halt.

Chorostecki is known for her roles in Hannibal, Reacher, Nightmare Alley and other titles. She is repped by GVA Talent Agency, GGA and Insight.

What type of character do you think Chorostecki will play? One of the good guys or an evil accomplice? Regardless, are you excited for the second season? Let us know in the comments!
