The Wednesday cast is getting a little bit more musical. Lady Gaga is joining the show for Season 2 — read on to find out what else we know.

Snaps for Wednesday
Wednesday was an instant hit for Netflix when it first aired in 2022. The series is a dark coming-of-age story starring creator Charles Addams‘ classic character as she goes to Nevermore Academy. Season 1 follows Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) as she solves a series of murders and saves Nevermore and its students from destruction. The show received 12 Emmy nominations, winning four.
Ortega is returning for the new season alongside Emma Myers, Joy Sunday and Hunter Doohan. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo were also upped to season regulars.

The Cast of Season 2
The newest Wednesday news comes with the casting of Lady Gaga for an undisclosed role in Season 2. Entertainment Weekly shared the news that the global sensation is currently on set filming in Europe.
Gaga already has a connection to the show, with her 2011 song “Bloody Mary” going viral in 2022 when Wednesday fans edited it with a clip of Jenna Ortega dancing in Season 1. In addition to film roles including A Star is Born, House of Gucci and the more recent Joker: Folie à Deux, Gaga worked in television on Season 5 of American Horror Story. As for her music career, Gaga has an album scheduled for release in February 2025. The untitled album will be her seventh and features the single “Disease,” which came out in October 2024.
Season 2 has plenty of additional new characters. Joanna Lumley joins the cast as Grandmama Addams and Christopher Lloyd will appear in an undisclosed role. Steve Buscemi also joined the cast, taking over as principal of Nevermore Academy. Additional Season 2 guest stars and regulars include Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairburn, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo and Billie Piper.
