Disney+ will feature the greatest love story ever told, a live-action Lady and the Tramp. And we have a trailer freshen out of D23!
The 1955 animated classic is about a pampered house dog, a Cocker Spaniel named Lady and her adventures with the lovable mutt, the Tramp. Tessa Thompson voices the refined Lady and Justin Theroux voices the rough and tough Tramp. Other voice cast includes Janelle Monae, Benedict Wong, Ashley Jensen, and Sam Elliot. There is a human cast, led by Lady’s owners, Thomas Mann and Kiersey Clemons. Arturo Castro, Ardian Martinez, and Yvette Nicole Brown also star. Charlie Bean directed the series.
Lady and the Tramp focuses on Lady and how her life is forever altered after her owners bring home a new baby. She is led astray on the streets and meets a stray named Tramp. Tramp steals her heart as they embark on a romantic adventure.
As you can see, the trailer is vibrant and exciting. The love shines through from the moment we see Lady as a puppy. And I have to admit, Tramp is a show stopper. This dog looks exactly like the animated version! This trailer makes me want to go hug my family dog.
In Disney+’s “Lady and the Tramp,” a timeless re-telling of the 1955 animated classic, a pampered house dog and a tough but lovable stray embark on an unexpected adventure and, despite their differences, grow closer and come to understand the value of home.
