DVD Release Party and Signing for Dog Soldiers with Neil Marshall
June 23 at 7pm
To get his autograph you have to pre buy the DVD, but attending is free!!!!!

Dark Delicacies shares space on one of my favorite blocks in town. Just down the street from Creature Features and surrounded on all sides by tasty foods, vintage shops, thrift stores, Atomic Records, Halloweentown, It’s a Wrap (resale production clothing barely worn). It goes on and on.

It is without question one of the best horror book stores ever. Named for one of the owner’s — Del Howison — They have an unmatched reputation for carrying ANYTHING a horror aficionado might seek. But there’s so much more stuff. Gorgeous jewelry, a staggering selection of essential oils, great clothes and accessories, hard to find soundtracks (also available online). All beautifully arranged. The window displays are always a treat in themselves.

I love me some essential oil.

And they do tons of events. This Tuesday they will be holding a DVD blu ray release party for Neil Marshall’s Dog Soldiers. If you’ve never seen it, remedy that immediately! A great modern day take on the werewolf genre starring Kevin McKidd post-Topsy-Turvy-pre-Rome-pre-Grey’s-Anatomy.

“Six Men. Full Moon. No Chance” Best tag line since Popcorn: The Movie

Mayhaps werewolves ain’t your thing. But that name, Neil Marshall, is somehow familiar. Could be cause he directed arguably the two finest episodes of a little show called Game of Thrones –‘Blackwater’ and ‘The Watchers on the Wall’.

Dark Delicacies is in Burbank, so plenty of street parking.
