Clone Club, you might want to sit down for this. As reported by Deadline, Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter will headline the AMC series Orphan Black: Echoes, a spinoff of the critically lauded Orphan Black. Ritter will also executive produce the project.
The 10-episode series will take place in the world of Orphan Black, with Ritter portraying a “woman with an unimaginable story, trying to find her place in the world.” Here’s a synopsis per Deadline:
“Orphan Black: Echoes takes place in the near future and explores the scientific manipulation of human existence. It follows a group of women — one of them played by Ritter — as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unraveling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal.”

Joining Ritter on the production side of things is Anna Fishko, the showrunner of Orphan Black: Echoes, with John Fawcett serving as the director and executive producer. Fawcett is the co-creator of the spinoff series’ predecessor.
Krysten Ritter took the acting world by storm with her breakout role as Jane Margolis in AMC’s Breaking Bad. Ritter’s also known for portraying the title character in Marvel’s Jessica Jones, which ran for three seasons on Netflix. She played party girl Chloe on the short-lived, cult classic ABC comedy Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23. Ritter recently helmed and executive produced The Girl in the Woods for Peacock.
In addition to acting, directing and producing, Ritter is an author. She’s currently penning a sequel to her 2017 debut, Bonfire.
