Benoit Blanc Is Back
The next installment in the Knives Out series has a name. Director Rian Johnson announced the new film this week on X/Twitter. Read on to find out what else we know.

Daniel Craig will return as Benoit Blanc in Wake Up Dead Man. Johnson announced the new film from a brief teaser video featuring Craig’s voice in Blanc’s signature strange drawl. He says, “In the beginning, the knives came out. Then, behold, the glass was shattered. But my most dangerous case yet is about to be revealed.”
Johnson teased the announcement earlier this week with a post on X/Twitter consisting of an image of an egg. He also stated, “I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies … We’re about to go into production on the 3rd one, and I’m very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint of where it’s going.”

Wake Up Dead Man
Wake Up Dead Man will be distributed by Netflix like Glass Onion was in 2022. Only time will tell if the film gets a theatrical release like the original Knives Out. It’s also likely that the next installation will feature a new cast and potentially work as a standalone like its predecessor.
