KNIVES OUT 3 Reveals First Look of Benoit Blanc With Long Hair

It’s Blanc — Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig). The famed detective’s newest mystery, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, began filming today. Writer and director Rian Johnson has shared a first look at the protagonist of the upcoming threequel on social media. You can see it for yourself below this article. Wake Up Dead Man

The series of Detective Blanc mysteries began with 2019’s Knives Out, in which Blanc investigated the murder of Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer). In this movie, he exonerated Marta Cabrera (Ana de Armas). In 2022’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Blanc was invited to a private island during the time of COVID. This movie featured billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) being outwitted by Helen Brand (Janelle Monáe).

In May, Johnson took to social media to reveal the third movie’s title. Previously, he teased the announcement by posting an image of a Pokémon GO egg about to hatch. Johnson also commented on the spectrum of possibilities within the whodunnit genre. Could this be a hint about what to expect from Wake Up Dead Man?

So far, aside from Craig, both movies in the Knives Out series have featured different and expansive rosters of actors. Wake Up Dead Man is no exception. So far, the following actors have been announced for the third movie: Josh Brolin, Thomas Haden Church, Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Daryl McCormack, Jeremy Renner, Andrew Scott, and Cailee Spaeny.
