Sofia Boutella evidently nabbed herself a lead role in the upcoming film Star Trek 3. According to Deadline, there’s not much info on what the role is, just that it is a major one.
Sofia Boutella is French-Algerian and was recently seen being all kinds of badass as Gazelle in Kingsman: A Secret Service. In addition to being an actor, she is a dancer and musician. She even competed for France as rhythmic gymnast in the Olympics. Serious badass.
Justin Lin will be directing the film. Simon Pegg and Doug Jung are writing. Of course, Simon Pegg will be reprising his role as Scotty as well.
Star Trek 3 comes out July 8, 2016.
