“People like us aren’t made for happy lives with happy endings.” On Tuesday, BBC America blessed us with a teaser for Killing Eve Season Four! And, judging by its contents, it appears we’re in for a wild final ride.
In the 30-second clip, we see repurposed old footage showcasing our main characters and their “best of” moments. “Do you ever think what might have happened if we hadn’t done what we did?” Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) asks. As we break into the new scenes, Carolyn talks about how “people like us” don’t get happy endings.

Then, we see shots of Eve (Sandra Oh), Villanelle (Jodie Comer) and Konstantin (Kim Bodnia), all alone in the world. Eve stabs someone with a syringe; somebody jumps Konstantin while on what appears to be a bridge, Eve brandishes a gun and Hélène (Camille Cottin) lounges in a bathtub.
But that’s not all! Amid the flurry of new footage, we see Villanelle and Eve running and a mystery someone bound and masked. Carolyn also spits on a person off-screen.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the Killing Eve Season Four teaser is the arrival of two new characters. I recognize the first newbie as Anjana Vasan (We Are Lady Parts), somberly carrying a package. However, I’m unsure about the blonde woman with the sheep draped over her shoulders.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Killing Eve teaser without a VillanEve moment. It ends with Eve asking an injured Villanelle if she wants a ride on her scooter. In true Villanelle fashion, she overtakes the said scooter herself, leaving Eve in the dust.
I’m simultaneously excited and heartbroken for the final season. I’ve missed these characters and this story.
