Killing Eve fans, the agonizing wait is almost over! On Valentine’s Day, the official series Twitter account (@KillingEve) released a brief teaser revealing the Season 3 air date. Mark your calendars, folks – April 26th is over two months out! Said teaser was merely a few overlapping shots of Eve (Sandra Oh) and Villanelle (Jodie Comer). Then, we saw the words “Happy V-Day” and the April 26th release date unveiled at the end.
Next, our blessings increased twofold when BBC America released a series of brand-spankin’-new Season 3 photos! Konstantin (Kim Bodnia), Carolyn Martens (Fiona Shaw), Niko (Owen McDonnell), Eve, and Villanelle were on display in the aforementioned photos. Oh, and Eve is most certainly alive! One of the pictures captured a seemingly tense moment between Carolyn and Eve. Another showed Eve working in a butcher shop. So many questions abound! Obviously, she survived Villanelle shooting her, but what happened after? Was she forced to go incognito for a while? Is she undercover for MI6? Naturally, her interaction with Martens may indicate the latter, but Eve’s future with MI6 is uncertain after the events of last season’s finale. It’s Killing Eve, so anything can (and will) happen!
In addition, we were bestowed with a shot of Villanelle donning a clown costume and a full face of makeup. Not gonna lie, she pulls it off. Villanelle could sport a paper bag and still manage to make it look trendy. There’s also a photo of Villanelle exploring a city while wearing another enviable dress. Konstantin is shown in an undisclosed location. Even Niko appears to be somewhere new – in a countryside locale at that. While we have time to speculate, it’s good to know that Killing Eve Season 3 is going to involve a change in scenery, both metaphorically and literally.
Now, here’s a Killing Eve tidbit from the BBC America official press release courtesy of Sarah Barnett, the President of AMC Networks Entertainment Group and AMC Studios:
These photos are gorgeous and also a bit of a spoiler – yes, Eve is still alive! These two blindingly good actors return for a season that finds both characters somewhere new. What remains the same is that Killing Eve will continue to pull fans along for a ferociously original and heart-pounding ride.
Alright, without further ado, I bring you the Killing Eve Season 3 teaser along with a slew of first-look photos. Enjoy!
