Still of Sandra Oh in Killing Eve

Now, we’re only a mere two months away from the Killing Eve Season 3 premiere! Our favorite cat-and-mouse thriller has already been renewed for a fourth season courtesy of BBC America. Not only that, but Laura Neal (Sex EducationSecret Diary of a Call Girl) is slated to be the lead writer for Season 4! Sarah Barnett, President of AMC Networks Entertainment Group and AMC Studios, praised the writing team behind Killing Eve. Here is her comment from the official BBC America press release:

Killing Eve smashes television tropes in every way, both on the screen and behind it. We have a remarkable squad of ferociously smart women writers passing the baton to each other on this show, aligned around a coherent vision but bringing it to life with their own specific sparkle and brilliance. Laura Neal is the latest incredible leader of the pack on Killing Eve.

Executive Producer Sally Woodward Gentle also hailed Neal as an innovative talent:

Laura is frighteningly bright, takes no prisoners and can laugh at anything. She’s wicked and wild, emotional and provocative. The stories we are already creating for season four promise a pitch-black riot.

Now, my enthusiasm for Season 3 and 4 has just skyrocketed to infinity and beyond. “Pitch-black riot” is the only apropos descriptor for Killing Eve. I’m tickled to read that the writers will continue to maintain the show’s chaotic energy. In addition, I’m a huge fan of Sex Education and I’m sure Neal will inject her trademark provocative wit into Season 4. Side note: how cool is it that women dominate Killing Eve on both sides of the camera? We are women – hear us dramatize and pen compelling stories for the screen!

Oh, and that’s not all the Powers That Be bestowed upon us this week! Below is another Season 3 teaser highlighting Eve Polastri aka the indelible Sandra Oh. The words “She lives” are used to set the tone for said teaser. A montage of Eve imagery flickers across the video. Eve is shrouded with the same sheer flowing crimson material from the Valentine’s Day teaser. A common thread between the two. Will the series continue to bring on the gore tenfold from last season? It wouldn’t be Killing Eve without some gore!

Without further ado, folks, check out the teaser below. Let us know what you think in the comments!

Killing Eve stars Oh and Jodie Comer, and is set to premiere Season 3 Sunday April 26th at 10pm on your BBC America affiliate.
