Well this is disappointing. The CW confirmed that Kid Flash aka Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) will not return to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s next season. Wally’s final appearance on the show will be the season three finale that aired back in April.
Wally West first appeared on The Flash in season 2. Being Iris West’s (Candice Patton) long lost brother, he appeared to be out of place. Wally eventually became a speedster but, wasn’t utilized to his potential on screen (in my opinion). Wally left Central City to find where he belonged. Fans thought that place would be on Team Legends.

Wally’s time aboard the Waverider was short. The move gave fans an opportunity to see a different side of Wally. He seemed to fit right in and his speed came in handy in a fight. I’m sad that Wally won’t be a part of either show, but the door is open for Wally to return to both The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow in the future.
Lonsdale will appear in the season five premiere of The Flash, getting to know his new baby sister. It appears that he is leaving on good terms.

The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will return to the CW in Fall 2018.
