Robertson plays Rosenfeld Guoliang, “a cynic, and a fierce believer in Belter independence who is a key member of insurgent leader Marco Inaros’ inner circle.”
The character of Guoliang appears in Babylon’s Ashes, the sixth book in The Expanse series by James S.A. Corey. In the said book, Guoliang is governor of Pallas Station and rose to prominence among the Voltaire Collective, a faction of the OPA.
Last week, we learned at NYCC 2021 that Season Six boasts six installments, with the series finale clocking in at a whopping 65 minutes. In addition, short segments called “X-Rays” will air in between episodes, and Wes Chatham, a.k.a. Amos Burton, wrote one of them.
In Season Six, The Expanse picks up on a solar system at war and Marco Inaros launching asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars. Tensions threaten to tear the Roci crew apart while Chrisjen Avasarala sends former Martian Marine Bobbie Draper on a stealth mission that could turn the tide. Drummer and the remnants of her family flee Marco Inaros’ wrath, and a new power rises beyond the Rings.
Kathleen Robertson’s career spans four decades, with her most notable credits including Scary Movie 2, Tin Man, Hollywoodland and Last Exit. From 2014 to 2016, she starred alongside Taye Diggs in TNT’s crime drama Murder in the First and headlined 2019’s Northern Rescue opposite William Baldwin. Robertson recently wrapped production on Swimming with Sharks, a modern remake of George Huang‘s 1994 film of the same name.
I can’t wait to see Robertson as Guoliang alongside Marco Inaros. I need Season Six now — December 10 can’t come soon enough!
