Alien life has made contact with Earth in the first teaser for the upcoming Netflix series, Another Life. An alien artifact has landed on Earth and it’s up to Commander Niko Breckinridge’s (Katee Sackhoff) team to discover it’s origin.

The teaser starts with a slow pan of the space ship we’re likely to spend the most time in during the series, known as The Salvare. Something appears off though as the crew appears to be missing. A voice over from Breckinridge tells us that she’s scared that the mission is going to fail. Things get a lot more intense very quickly as we get shots of crew running around the ship, battling a force (or forces) we can’t see. There’s a threat of running out of oxygen and crew members in critical condition. However, Breckinridge is determined, saying that this mission cannot and will not fail.

I can’t say that this teaser piqued my interest all too much. At least from this, the series appears to be similar to the alien horror series we’ve seen before. What exactly will bring this series out of their shadows and make it unique? It’s currently unclear. Maybe with a full length teaser I’ll be more intrigued. The show does have a phenomenal cast list though, Selma Blair and Tyler Hoechlin co-star along with Elizabeth Ludlow
