Netflix has ordered a new sci-fi series entitled Another Life. And, it stars everyone’s favorite foul-mouthed, hard-edged, no bulls#@! space pilot, Katee Sackhoff. Bring it on.
Sackhoff will star as astronaut Niko Breckinridge. According to Deadline, Breckinridge is “focused on searching for alien intelligence. She leads a crew on a mission to explore the genesis of an alien artifact. As Niko and her young crew investigate, they face unimaginable danger on what might very well be a one-way mission.” That sounds to me, almost like an intergalactic Indiana Jones. Awesome. And, if it’s not… could someone please make an intergalactic Indiana Jones show for me to watch? Thanks.

There’s no word on how close Breckinridge will be to Sackhoff’s Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica, and it’s been a long fracking time since she played that character. She’s coming off of Longmire, a western. So, it’ll be interesting to see what she brings to this role. Regardless, we at GGA would like to welcome Miss Sackhoff home to science fiction.

Another Life will stream 10 episodes on Netflix in its first season. No dates have been announced.
