While there may not be an E3 this June to kick off Summer gaming, there are still a ton of fantastic titles coming out this month for you to get your hands on! From doggie dating simulators to post-apocalyptic adventures, here are our most anticipated video game picks for June!
Best Friends Forever
Who doesn’t love dogs? Am I right? Best Friends Forever from developer Starcolt is a strategy simulation game that combines pet care and dating! Adopt a puppy that calls to your heart and work to teach them some new tricks while giving them all of your love. Then head out to explore the vast singles scene of Rainbow Bay with your loyal puppy by your side. Best Friends Forever features a diverse cast of singles and is LGBTQ+ friendly. It promotes being whoever you want and falling in love with whoever you want.
Best Friends Forever was originally set to release on June 18, 2020 for PC through Steam and the Nintendo Switch. The release has been delayed slightly to an unknown date, but in the meantime, there is now a playable demo on Steam.
The Last of Us Part II
One of the most anticipated games of the year is finally hitting the digital shelves! The Last of Us Part II is the sequel to Naughty Dog‘s 2013 masterpiece, The Last of Us. In this next installment, players now assume the role of a 19-year-old Ellie set on revenge and retribution. Ellie is much more agile than Joel, and the gameplay reflects that. Players will now be able to maneuver through air shafts, hide in prone positions, and utilize stealth and speed to evade enemies. Additionally, The Last of Us Pt. II promises larger interactive environments, new characters and enemies (including guard dogs), and a thrilling narrative. Where will Ellie’s dark path take her? We will find out soon!

The Almost Gone
The Almost Gone, from developer Happy Volcano, is a point and click adventure using intricate dioramas. Each scene tells a small part of the story, which touches on death, loss, and mental health. In each diorama, players will find clues that help to unlock the truth. Likewise, the story of The Almost Gone was written by Award-winning Flemish author Joost Vandecasteele. He worked alongside the team to write a story that worked well with the game style they wanted to achieve. The world created for The Almost Gone is simply beautiful. The art style is simplistic yet so full of detail, and we can’t wait to dive into it this June.
The Almost Gone will release on June 25, 2020 on PC through Steam and the Nintendo Switch.
